Our Christmas lights are computer controlled and sequenced to music that we broadcast with an FM transmitter. We have 48 channels that allow us to control 48 different light strands independently from each other.  We use around 10,000 lights in our animated display.

Our Mega Tree is 16 feet tall and has 8 channels and 3600 lights.

Each small tree is 1 channel and uses 150 lights.

The arches are 8 channels each and have 1200 lights.

The whole setup is controlled by my home computer using a program called Vixen.  The control boards are Lynx Express that I built myself.
